Less moisture removed from the air, increased operating costs, shorter appliance life | | Water level should be checked at least once each day and the water tray emptied. If the water tray is full, the dehumidifier shuts off. On some models, the water can also be run directly to a floor drain with a garden hose. Be sure to cut hose as short as possible. Check regularly to make sure water is running to drain. |
 | Dehumidifier coils or filter screen should be cleaned at least once each year. A small brush can be used to remove dust and lint accumulation. Never use a brush with wire bristles, coils can be easily damaged. |
