Proper Use of Thermostats

Setting your thermostat(s) properly will keep you comfortable and reduce your energy bills.

Step 1: Locate Thermostat(s)

Locate your thermostat(s). They may be round or square, manually operated or electronic. Usually, they are in a central location on the main floor. There may be more than one thermostat if you have two or more heating systems or zoned heating. Additional thermostats will be located on other floors or in other areas of your home.

Step 2: Check Settings and Program
