Stains or discoloration of siding can be caused by leaks in the siding, condensation, and rainwater splashing against the siding.

Step 1: Inspect For Problems

Check the outdoor caulking and replace any worn or damaged caulk. Check humidity levels inside the house. Check for ice dams and roof leaks. Check for clogged gutters and downspouts. Make sure sprinklers are adjusted away from the house, not towards the siding and windows.
